As áreas de conservação determinam o traçado das vias. As praias fechadas na temporada existem por razão biológica, não burocrática. Isso é Pipa: um lugar onde a lógica ambiental é infraestrutura.

Pipa tem 11 km de linha de costa com diferentes condições por praia, dois ecossistemas de dunas protegidos por lei federal e uma comunidade que organiza o próprio calendário em torno das estações.
